CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Putnam County Bank is looking for a friendly, dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position combines day-to-day customer service at the teller line with bookkeeping and clerical support. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in being part of the local community.

What You’ll Do

· Welcome customers and assist with deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and other routine banking transactions.

· Verify identification, signatures, endorsements, dates, and account information before completing transactions.

· Enter transactions accurately, provide receipts, and maintain complete records.

· Balance your cash drawer and assist with daily cash counts and related branch procedures.

· Prepare cashier’s checks, money orders, and other bank-issued items as needed.

· Perform bookkeeping, recordkeeping, data-entry, and general clerical duties.

· Protect customer information, negotiable items, and confidential bank records.

· Listen for opportunities to connect customers with banking products and services that may be helpful to them.

· Work with other team members to provide accurate, efficient, and friendly service.

· Assist with other branch and bookkeeping responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous customer service, cash-handling, bookkeeping, or banking experience is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds at times.
