This credit union was organized in January 1936 as Colgasco Employees Federal Credit. It was chartered to serve Columbia Gas employees in the eastern United States. In 1996, the name was changed to Star USA Federal Credit Union. Star USA is headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia and primarily serves consumers throughout the southeastern region of the United States. Currently, this credit union is a mortgage and auto loan source for consumers from Texas to New York as well as residents in 36 other states.
